As I did in 2023 and 2024, I always like to take a moment and look back at what the past year has been like for me as a travel filmmaker and audiovisual content creator. I would define 2025 as a year of constant learning, awards, new connections, and above all, truly unforgettable experiences.
I’ve had the opportunity to work on many projects as a professional filmmaker, collaborate with brands, and continue building this path that started more than two years ago. A journey that makes more sense every year, and one where I still enjoy both the creative process and the final result.
This post is a complete summary of my 2025 as a travel filmmaker and drone pilot, both on a personal and professional level.
Traveling as a Travel Filmmaker
In 2025, I was lucky enough to keep traveling and enjoying travel filmmaking. I returned to the Dolomites, a very special place for me that I had been wanting to revisit for a long time. I also traveled to Lanzarote, explored the Italian Tuscany, and spent almost one full month traveling across Peru from north to south.
Each destination had its own energy, rhythm, and way of inspiring me. Traveling as an audiovisual content creator isn’t just about capturing images, it’s about learning to observe, adapt, and tell stories from different perspectives.
There was also an opportunity to travel to Korea, a destination I was extremely excited about both culturally and visually. Unfortunately, due to scheduling and logistics, it wasn’t possible this time, but hopefully, I’ll be able to cross it off the list soon.
Dolomites: Back to Where It All Began
I was really looking forward to returning to the Dolomites (and I truly hope it won’t be the last time). During our previous trip, there were many places we didn’t get to see, so we decided to return to the place where everything changed and where I found a different kind of inspiration as a travel filmmaker.
The mountains, nature, and silence still have something special, something that forces you to slow down and truly enjoy the creative process.
Tuscany: Where the Soul Is Found, Not Searched For
Tuscany was a trip we had wanted to do for a long time, and we finally made it happen. It was a fairly short trip, only three days, but more than enough to completely fall in love with the place.
The roads, villages, endless fields, and golden-hour light create a unique atmosphere, perfect for any travel filmmaker.
Lanzarote: A Trip That Went Around the World
Lanzarote was a stop before my final destination, Gran Canaria. I took the opportunity to explore the island solo for four days, and it turned out to be an incredible experience, both personally and professionally.
Honestly, I didn’t expect this video to reach so many people and end up traveling around the world, but it became one of the most special moments of the year as a drone travel filmmaker.
Peru: From the Amazon to the Desert
For one full month, we traveled across Peru, from the Amazon rainforest to the deserts in the north. A country that completely won us over with its people, culture, and absolutely unique landscapes.
Each region had something different to offer, and every day was an opportunity to tell a new story through video. Without a doubt, one of the most special trips of 2025.
Projects, Work, and Collaborations as a Filmmaker
2025 has been a key year for strengthening and consolidating brand collaborations that started in previous years, while also taking on new projects that pushed me out of my comfort zone. Projects that weren’t just jobs, but real opportunities to learn, experiment, and grow as a filmmaker.
It was also the year with the highest volume of work so far, something I definitely want to keep building on in 2026. Each collaboration brought a new creative challenge and a different way of telling stories, always with the goal of delivering real value and taking care of every detail of the process.
I’m truly grateful for the continued trust from brands, especially because many collaborations were repeated, one of the clearest signs that things are moving in the right direction.
Beyond brand collaborations, 2025 marked a significant step forward in corporate and commercial projects. I had the chance to work on productions very different from what I was used to, allowing me to step out of my comfort zone and expand my skills as a travel filmmaker.
In 2026, my goal is to keep expanding my portfolio, but above all, to create pieces that connect, have intention, and go beyond visuals.
Featured collaborations from 2025:
Social Media and Growth as a Content Creator
When it comes to social media, growth on YouTube has remained fairly stable, and I’m happy with that. It’s the platform that motivates me the most and where I invest most of my time.
On niche platforms like AirVuz and SkyPixel, growth exceeded my expectations, which is especially motivating for me as a drone filmmaker. On the other hand, I wasn’t able to dedicate as much time to Instagram and TikTok, and that clearly showed in the results.
Still, considering that I had more professional work than ever this year, I’m very happy with the overall outcome. One of my main goals for 2026 is to make a big leap in vertical content quality and work with a more solid strategy.
Awards and Nominations as a Travel Filmmaker
In terms of awards and nominations, 2025 has undoubtedly been the best year of my life as a filmmaker. AirVuz continues to be one of the most important platforms, and I had the opportunity to receive multiple recognitions throughout the year.
I’d especially like to highlight the Best Video Award in the “Humanity and Nature” category at JDFF, among others.
- AirVuz“DOLOMITES | The Place Where It All Began”: Best video of the week, best video of the month of June and nominated for best video of the year 2025.
- AirVuz “Traveling Alone, Sharing the Journey”: Best video of the week and top 5 video of the month of July.
- AirVuz “Whispers of TUSCANY | Cinematic Short Film”: Best video of the week and top 5 video of the month of October.
- SkyPixel “ICELAND | A Trip of a Lifetime”: Nominated for best video of the year and best video of the week.
- SkyPixel “VENICE | DJI RS 3 Mini”: Annual award chosen by the people.
- JDFF “Traveling Alone, Sharing the Journey”: Best video in the “Humanity and Nature” category.
- Eastern Europe Film Festival “DOLOMITES | The Place Where It All Began: Best video in the “Best Drone Short Film” category.

Goals for 2026 as a Travel Filmmaker
For 2026, my main goal remains building community and creating content that provides real value. I want to give a strong push to Instagram and TikTok, develop a solid content strategy, and continue growing as a professional filmmaker.
I’d also love to launch my own LUTs for Canon and Sony, release a V2 of my current LUTs, launch a 1-on-1 filmmaking and editing course, and continue creating travel guides.
And as always, the most important goal is to keep enjoying the process. Because if you don’t enjoy it, no strategy or numbers really matter.
