Why Travel in 2025?

Traveling in 2025 could be the starting point for a new chapter or a completely renewed experience for anyone. The best time to start planning is now, so if you have the opportunity, don’t hesitate.

The destinations I’m about to present are focused on nature lovers, those seeking disconnection, and those who enjoy tranquility. Also, if you’re a filmmaker and fly drones, these are amazing places to capture with your drone.

Without further ado, here are the five best destinations to travel to if you’re a nature lover or a content creator looking to capture unique landscapes.

1. Dolomites: Incredible Mountains in Northern Italy

What Makes the Dolomites So Amazing?

The Dolomites are a mountain range located in northern Italy. They are a paradise for nature lovers, offering cinematic landscapes and breathtaking scenery. They are perfect for disconnecting and enjoying nature. Plus, you have the option to do challenging mountain routes or simply relax by lakes surrounded by stunning landscapes.

Must-visit places in the Dolomites include Lake Di Braies, Tre Cime di Lavaredo, and Lake Di Carezza. The Dolomites are also one of the best destinations for traveling with a drone, but keep in mind that if you want to fly your drone, you will need to obtain the necessary permits. You can check all the details on the D-Flight App.

2. Madeira: A Paradise in Europe

Madeira, the pearl of the Atlantic, is a perfect destination for those looking for a peaceful and diverse place. You have the opportunity to connect with nature and go hiking, but you can also explore Funchal or visit quieter coastal villages. Madeira is another ideal destination if you’re a content creator flying a drone. Here’s a post with everything you need to know about Madeira as the best destination to travel to in 2025.

What to Capture in Madeira with a Drone?

  • Pico do Arieiro: Along with Pico Ruivo, these are the highest mountains on the island. If you go early or at sunset, you may be able to witness an incredible sea of clouds from the top. Just remember that if you’re bringing a drone to Madeira, you should be mindful of the wind.
  • Ponta de São Lourenço: These cliffs are located in the northeastern part of the island. The sunrise from this point is stunning.
  • Levadas: These water trails that traverse the island are ideal if you love nature.

For filmmakers and content creators, Madeira combines adventure and tranquility, and offers a temperate climate year-round.

3. Iceland: The Land of Ice and Fire

Why is Iceland an Incredible Destination to Travel to in 2025?

Iceland is known as the land of ice and fire, and it truly lives up to the name. Its combination of glaciers, waterfalls, geysers, volcanoes, and black sand beaches makes it one of the best destinations to travel in 2025. Why 2025? Well, it doesn’t have to be for 2025, but it’s true that this destination is becoming increasingly popular, so the sooner you go, the better.

If you plan to travel to Iceland, keep in mind the time of year, as your travel experience can vary greatly. In summer, you can capture lush landscapes and waterfalls in their full glory, along with the midnight sun. In winter, you can see the northern lights with only about five hours of daylight.

If you’re interested in learning more, here’s a post I made about spending 10 days in Iceland. It includes everything you need to know if you’re planning a trip to Iceland.

4. The Pyrenees: Wild and Accessible Nature

The Pyrenees are a mountain range that separates Spain and France. It’s filled with dreamy landscapes and truly impressive mountains. Without a doubt, it’s one of my top best destinations to travel in 2025.

Recommended places to visit in the Pyrenees:

  • Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park: This place will leave you speechless. If you decide to visit, you must take the Cola de Caballo route.
  • Tristaina Lakes: Located in Andorra, these three glacial lakes are easily accessible on a hike. You can reach the viewpoint and fly your drone from there for incredible views.
  • Tena Valley: This valley is amazing, with lakes, trails, parks, picturesque villages, and surrounded by high mountains.

5. Comunidad Valenciana: An Incredible Destination to Travel to in 2025

Comunidad Valenciana (my home region) is known for its coast, but it offers so much more. From mountains to beautiful villages, it’s a place that combines nature with urban life. Ideal for filmmakers and content creators.

Some recommended places to visit, besides Valencia, include the areas around Calpe and Xàbia, and the inland regions of Castellón. With charming villages like Villafamés and Culla, which are among the most beautiful villages in Spain.

Additionally, the region enjoys great weather year-round, making it a perfect destination to travel to in 2025.
